From Curt Fortenberry on 9/26/14:

Former Army hospital cars were in number series 89300-89361 (not all consecutive # cars were received).
One car became A-3 Sportsman charter car, and was rebuilt to baggage #60 in 1959.
Another was proposed to be A-2  business car, and was rebuilt to baggage #71.
A-4 Woodsman was rebuilt to bagg/mail #59 in 1958.

When comparing to John's roster:
I have #51 as a former Army boxcar, not hospital car.
I have 73/74 as former Army troop cars, not hospital cars.
I have 86 as former Navy.

From Bob Garner on 10/30/14:

Daniel Osborne suggested that car 003 was the Compartment Observation Kenai. I have the Mainline Modeler article that covers Both Denali &  Kenai and they were identical cars.

My suggestion is, that since this was a Gene Adoline (served during WWII) photo that this car may have come from the Copper River & North Western. The car is bracketed by Troop cars.
