I had several requirements for this table. First, the TV needed to be close to eye level to ward off motion sickness. It also had to prevent the TV from becoming airborne in the event of an accident. It needed to replace any cup holders it covered up plus provide some storage for front and rear passengers. It couldn't take up too much of my existing shoulder room. Finally, the legs must collapse for compact storage.
Father-in-law Doug examined bkranch's photos on the Yahoo Odyssey Club's site, made a few modifications and built one out of birch plywood. He presented the finished product to me for my birthday.
Update: I convinced my father-in-law to create drawings of his project to share with you on the Internet. He spent over seven hours on all three view drawings. I scanned them in at 260 dpi and saved them as PDFs. Their file size is quite large, but they print very clear.
