Kim's Forest Bed and Breakfast

 

 

This bed and breakfast is beautiful beyond description! Kim herself gave me a tour of her establishment and I must agree it is "a true haven where hospitality and elegance are combined with one goal in mind: your comfort!" There are six bedrooms available on the upper level - four with queen size beds, one with twin beds and a deluxe room with Jacuzzi. The main floor includes an elegant dining room, several well-appointed sitting/reading rooms and a dream kitchen "to die for."

As an added bonus for railfans, the frame of retired F7 No. 1514 sits in her backyard. She originally purchased it with the intent of refurbishing it in an Orient Express motif. Later, she decided she no longer wanted it, but her friends talked her out of selling it saying it is the last remaining F7 in the state of Alaska. Moved to Soldotna March 2018.

Directions: Turn off the Seward Highway onto Bear Lake Road (mile six of the Seward Highway by Creekside Gas Station and RV Park). It is one mile up Bear Lake Road on the left (white house with red door).
