My first time staying in Alaska
Railroad themed lodging was when my wife and I visited Denali National
Park in 1986. Old passenger coaches had been converted into a series
of small sleeping rooms. There were no showers, the room was very
hot and incredibly cramped. We were young, spry and on a tight budget
so these suited our needs well.
These coaches are gone today, but
they were the forerunner for some awesome things to come. If you
too are looking for the fun and excitement of some unique lodging with
a railroading flavor then click on the links above. Each offers very
nice accommodations along with some breath taking scenery.
