Sold!

Several GP7s were sold recently by the ARRC. As you can see, the ARR markings are crossed out and are marked with BDLX. Nos. 1801, 1803, 1808 and 1809 were sold to Alaska Metal Recycling, who in turn found a buyer in the lower 48 - one BDL Company. They are a small time loco rebuilder who sells/leases rebuilt locos to small railroads. BDL then contracted ARRC to do repairs on the 4 units to make them road-worthy enough to be moved to the lower 48. These photos were taken in August of 1998 outside the Anchorage diesel shop.
