For 557 rail fans

The Alaska Railroad Corporation has repatriated GI Consolidation s-160 number 557 for future restoration to operation. As a tribute to that effort here is 557 in brass and pewter in 1/87 scale as she is expected to appear in the future.   The goal is to return the locomotive to her appearance when last in service.   The paint will be applied when the prototype locomotive is painted.  Pat Durand completed the DJH etched brass and pewter kit of the USATC s-160 with modifications employed on the Alaska Railroad.  A full DCC TSUNAMI sound system and lighting effects are included. The model is a heavily modified DJH etched brass and pewter kit.
