I started with the idea of the F59 when I saw a picture on you website. But given the fact that the new paint scheme was not the one used on the F59 design, I decided to go with the new paint scheme. I bought an undecorated Athearn F59PHI smoothsided unit. Using the SD70MAC style paint scheme I tried to create a similar design.  I also bought Alaska SD70MAC decal available on Ebay for some of my decals.  I also had a gentleman I have met design me decals for the GP40 new scheme. I used some from that decal set and also from one of Randy's decal sets.  I painted the white, then yellow and masked off the areas for the royal blue There is only one detail part I used and that was the coupler lift bars from Detail Associates.
