| I used an Athearn F7A unit and B unit for my model. I aquired custom
decals from a gentleman in Alaska that Curt and Randy directed me to. He
was very nice to chat with on the phone and he sent me 3 decal sets.
I had to mix paints to get the blue for the unit. I used B&O Royal Blue with a small amount of Conrail Blue (All Scalecoat II) this was advise from Curt Fortenberry. I also used Reefer Yellow for the ladder detailing . Additional decals (for number boards) came from Alaska RR Diesels #87480 (Microscale). All detail parts were the same as the Bicentennial units! The only difference between the A unit and the B unit was I only used a modified EMD Winterization Hatch. |
