Houseboat on Lake Cumberland, Kentucky

Comments

We let each of our children bring a friend for this trip.

The houseboat itself was awesome! It had six bedrooms each with its own sink and mirror, two sleeper sofas, two bathrooms (one with shower), a kitchen with refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, oven, microwave oven, table service and utensils, a family room with TV and DVD player, clothes dryer, breakfast nook, front patio with gas grill, eight-person hot tub, sun deck with six chaise lounges, fifteen-person hot tub, wet bar, two water slides, a satellite radio system/CD player, covered fly bridge, GPS navigation, two diesel engines, generator and air conditioning!

Each evening we had family fun time and each "pair" took turns organizing the activities (such as playing Apples to Apples, Monopoly, SPOONS, Mafia/Sheriff/Doctor, Outburst and watching the movie Cars). Also during the trip, we did some geocaching (kind of like a GPS treasure hunt) and visited several different sites, one of which was only accessible via water.

The whole trip was awesome and we had no rain, fights or injuries. Unfortunately, the boat did have one of its engines die which cost us some of cruising time.
