Rocky Mountain National Park is one of our favorites. We love seeing snow in the summer, herds of Big Horn sheep, beautiful fields of flowers and awesome mountain streams. Our overnight backpacking trip to Fern Lake was incredible! A small mountain lake surrounded by majestic mountains and pines trees and snow still on the ground. We will come back here someday.

Yellowstone was awesome beyond belief. Three days in the park is not enough! Geysers, mud pots, hot springs, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, bison, moose - there is so much.

Always make sure you have film in the camera before shooting. John thought he'd put a roll in, but hadn't. We lost pictures of the only standing petrified tree, a coyote (the only one we have seen in the wild to date), a mother bear with cub eating on a dead moose and some evening Devil's Tower shots. John swears he'll never do that again.

The evening lighting ceremony for Mount Rushmore is incredible. Everyone should try to do it just once.
