Comments
On this trip we had Art Goss, curator of Astronomy at the Dayton Museum of Natural History and good friend. He is quite an expert on backpacking in the Grand Canyon.
Our backpacking trip through the Grand Canyon was an incredible experience.
On day 1 we went from Yaki Point to Bright Angel Campground via the south
Kaibab Trail. On day 2 we took the Bright Angel Trail to Indian Gardens
Campground with the temperature soaring over 100 degrees. On our final
day, we started the trail early. Bugs kept flying in front of John's face
until bats came along to eat the bugs. He really freaked at that! We emerged
from the canyon at Grand Canyon Village via the Bright Angel Trail.
