The CHX35G4 is a large snow impeller affixed to a heavy duty, rail chassis. Designed specifically for the Alaska Railroad and Alaska's tough snow conditions, the front end can clear snow up to 14 feet wide. The collected snow is fed into a 70 inch wide impeller and rapidly distributed by the 1200 hp engine. As the CHX35G4 moves along. the back end includes two spreaders, one on each side, that when deployed can cover up to 30 feet of clearing ability.
Moving the additional snow back towards the track, a second pass of the Big Blower will again clear the remaining snow.

The CHX35G4 efficiently removes snow from our tracks, ensuring ARRC's rails remain safe and operational.
