ARR 13846 is a 65' mill gondola built by Pressed Steel Car Company in 1947. 13846 and 13801 are the only two gondolas of this type that had the large white Alaska lettering applied probably in the 1970s.   These photos provide documentation for historical and modeling purposes. Athearn produced a run of both 13846 and 13801 in the last year in this scheme, coincidently Athearn used these very photos to create the artwork for the model. 09/16/2021
