Joey Boerner's Christmas Layout

Thought I’d share a few pics of my N Scale Christmas Mountain display with a distinct Alaskan flavor.

The background pic is a photo that my father-in-law, Daniel Quick, took of the Kenai mountain range across from the Homer spit a few years ago.

The upper track has a Christmas passenger train with a caboose (I know, not prototypical) that has the phrase “have a holly, jolly Christmas” on the side in honor of my wife, Holly.

The lower freight train always features ARR locomotives (currently a pair of Bachmann GP40, 3008 & 3009) and a load of various Christmas treasures including my first n scale locomotive from Christmas 1985 (on its way to being restored, hopefully), a miniature version of Optimus Prime and a HISS tank from GI Joe two of my favorite childhood presents (what can I say, I’m a kid from the 80s?), and a load of Alaskan coal.

It’s taken a few years to get to this state, but I’m excited to keep adding more as the years go by.

Merry Christmas and thanks for the great website and resource for us Alaska Railroad fans!
