Well car or commonly known as a double stack car. Seen here being used hauling very heavy 20 foot containers containing Frac sand bound for the North Slope oil field of Prudhoe Bay. These cars arrive on the CN barge out of Prince Rupert British Columbia. These cars ARE quite an oddity up here. There has been some double stack testing but no double stack service has actually occurred yet. Well cars have never been seen in Alaska until three years ago when the first set arrived
