LRC
Talgo-LRC, LLC is a rebuild facility at Livingston, Montana. They specialize in railroad equipment repair, refurbishment, and support. Their shops include a Locomotive Engine Rebuild and Test Center, Locomotive Rebuild Center, Locomotive Wreck Repair, Paint and Graphics, and Wheel Shop.

Talgo-LRC, LLC was formerly known as Livingston Rebuild Center, Inc. (LRC). LRC began operations in 1988 in Livingston, Montana as a locomotive and rail car rebuilder. In June 2000, Talgo America and LRC formed a new company, Talgo-LRC, LLC.

The following is a listing of the rebuilds Talgo-LRC has recently done for the Alaska Railroad:

Locomotives:  2002, 3009, 3010 & 3011 -- Basic overhaul and painted with new paint scheme.  On the 3000 series updated HEP.

  • 2002  arrived 12/99  departed 5/00
  • 3009  arrived 11/99  departed 4/00
  • 3010  arrived 11/99  departed 4/00
  • 3011  arrived 11/99  departed 5/00

  • Baggage Cars: ARR 100, 101, 110 & 111 -- Upgraded with HEP and wired for HEP, control panels, painted interiors, and some exterior paint.

  • 111  arrived 1/00  departed 4/00

  • Passenger Cars:  ARR 200, 201, 202, 203, 204 -- Refurbished interior and exterior, reupholstered, and new paint scheme on exterior.

  • 200  arrived 1/00  departed 4/00
  • Passenger Cars:  ARR 205-208 -- Repainted only.  arrival 12/01 departure 3/02

    RDC Cars:  ARR 701, 702, 711 & 712 -- (stainless steel exterior)  Painted interior and reupholstered, upgraded electrical system, and upgraded trucks.
