Stewart "Stu" White was born on June 24, 1924 and passed away on April 15, 2015. Stewart was a resident of Anchorage, Alaska at the time of his passing.

Stu had the distinction of being the last engineer to operate a steam engine on the ARR, a logging road engine shipped up from the States and ran between the railroad depot and International Airport during the Alaska Centennial.
