This ain't no April fool's joke my friends. This is Alaska Railroad bi-level passenger car #600 sitting in the parking lot of Al’s Alaskan Inn. Owner Allen Choy says of the project, "I purchased Alaska Railroad Passenger Car #600 and am adding it to my nightclub at 7830 Old Seward Highway. It is connecting to the second floor and will provide the only tourist attraction in south Anchorage that says "Alaska". It is raised on pilings. It should also attract additional local interest in the ARR for summer family tours and make my place a destination point for tourists. It is not on my website yet, but my address is www.alsalaskaninn.com. If you know any buffs that would like to see the install, it all happens this Sunday, April 2nd. I also built a funky steam engine to pull it."

Andy Tejral was the first to send photos of this project to me so he gets the POTW slot. Here are his other photos: 1, 2, 3, 4.
