These photographs were taken at Fairbanks, and show the large yard crane unloading Sealand containers. Sealand ships brought containers to the Anchorage, the ARR moved them to Fairbanks. Sealand leased a group of Trailer Train 75' flatcars, and sent them to Alaska to be used in this service. Sealand was using 35 foot long containers, so two containers would fit on each car. (By this time the ISO standard containers were 20' or 40'). Sealand moved a large amount of supplies for the pipeline project. One photo shows an odd automobile container. Photos were taken summer of 1974
