3018 North on the House Track at the Palmer Depot. With the position of the caboose in relation to the locomotives, this is certainly a local switch job servicing the many industrial spur tracks on the Palmer Branch. This photo is sometime in the early to mid 1980s as evidenced by the automobiles and the lack of red DOT logo on the locomotive nose. The DOT nose logo was not used post State Takeover in 1983. - Commentary by Casey Durand
