Arctic Moonrise

Arctic Moonrise

It's 30 degrees below zero and dropping on a Tuesday afternoon in Alaska's second largest city and the moon is already high despite it being a bit after noon. 2001 and GP40-2 3011 have just returned from a two day journey from Anchorage to Fairbanks and out the Airport Branch as company work train symbol 190W to measure clearances in advance of a double-stack railcar test. Two engineering employees can be seen in the background working up on the measurement platform which is second out behind the mill gondola.
