Alaska Railroad X1074 North was waiting on the Anchorage Depot platform when photographed by Art Gibson on September 2, 1956. The Palmer Fair Special was powered by RFS1 1074 and B unit 1069, followed by steam boiler power car, baggage and a varied consist with Number 5 Parlor Observation, Seward, bringing up the rear. To further document the day, Art photographed the inside of 1074's cab and the observation lounge of the Seward while they were parked in Palmer.
