"The northbound Denali Star, powered by ARR 4326, crosses the Mears Bridge in Nenana, Alaska on June 7, 2013 at 6:14 PM.

"There were two road projects between Healy and Nenana. One was fairly short and was a flagger operation. But the other involved pilot cars that would periodically stop the convoy whilst heavy equipment moved about the construction site that was doubling as a highway. That was slow going, and for some reason that was the only spot where it consistently rained during the entire trip, reducing the area to a sea of muck and flying debris, turning the chase into a real foot race. It was drive, run, and climb the hill, surrounded by a ferocious posse of mosquitos to get this shot. That said, I beat the train from Healy to here by no more than three minutes. But I got the shot."
