Here is an image of ARR 3014 operating as a southbound passenger mixed train (caboose, but no freight cars) on a sunny spring Sunday afternoon. The longer days of spring made it possible to photograph the train in daylight south of Talkeetna.  This was one of my earliest photographs of a train with Mt. McKinley in the background.  This was on my first trip to photograph trains in the Talkeetna area. The slide date is April 1983.
