Yesterday morning’s Alaska Railroad Aurora Winter Train.

With a nearly full waning moon above, Yesterday mornings once a week northbound Aurora Winter Train goes around the bend past the shop where ARR Steam Engine 557, the last and next steam engine to serve the Alaska Railroad, is being rebuilt. The clock nears 10:00 AM. The rising sun casts its rays on the Talkeetna mountains they have not yet made it down to the valley.

The southbound Aurora should pass through Wasilla sometime between 6:20 and 7:30 this evening. I hope it arrives on the early side.
