All Seasons Clothing

There were an unusual number of cars parked at the Engine 557 Restoration Company - and it is Saturday, normally a day off.

I thought if there were an unusual number of people inside, maybe they would all come out and wave at the engineer and crew, as usual. I thought this could make a good picture. I heard the whistle immediately after Sancho did his preflight exercises, connected with the remote controller and I changed ISO and camera settings to match conditions. I sent him toward a spot where, if a crowd materialized, he would be able to catch the lead locomotive, peer over the top at the same time and catch the wavers waving.

But a big crowd did not materialize, I could see the train coming, changed my mind, turned Sancho toward Dog Wash Overpass flew fairly close in and shot the first shot. As I tried to relocate Sancho for a second shot, I was surprised to see a string of freight cars hooked up to the passenger train as occasionally happens under a special permit. So I sent Sancho up a little higher and a little closer to the 557 building and took the second shot.

It was not my intention to make a drone selfie of it. That’s just how it happened. 2/19/22
