The southbound Aurora is about to cross the Knik river in route to Anchorage from Fairbanks. Roughly an hour away the passengers still have some magnificent scenery in story for them at the end of their trip. In the background are the Talkeetna Mountains, 4/25/21.

Fireweed-Coastal-Classic

After waiting on the southbound passenger train to arrive on Sunday night the northbound Fairbanks freight departed Anchorage and roughly 25 minutes later I shot them here as they crossed through Beach Lake on a fantastic night. Although fair warning, the mosquitos are out and so are the bears. I saw both on this night and kept my distance from both although it was much more difficult with the mosquitos. 4/25/21
