Sometimes things work out. With a train running on Friday and me with a day off I ventured north to catch an extra Thursday night southbound freight out of Fairbanks that was running a bit late. The weather wasn't too bad either. Not too often you can catch the freight on this section of track during the daylight hours, especially in the winter. Captions are with the photos.

The Talkeetna Mountains look formidable in the background as the 132S is about to pass under the Old Glenn Hwy, MP 146.
Sharp eyed viewers may notice a different car behind the power, they picked that car up at Pittman. It had been set out by the NB freight on Wednesday.
