Monday, 12 June 2023: Alaska Railroad Corporation Fairbanks Yard Job is heading Railroad South on the ARRC’s Eielson Branch. Here they are passing MP G24 just outside Eielson Air Force Base some 493 miles North of Seward, the Southern most point of the railroad. The ARRC’s Eielson Branch trackage ends at MP G24.5 however Eielson’s small yard is another 3.5 miles North at G28. This requires ARRC trains to get screened by Eielson’s Security Forces when entering and exiting the base and the United States Military Railroad Property.
