Thursday, 20 April 2023: Alaska Railroad Corporation Fairbanks Local is heading Railroad South over the Chena Flood Plains after dropping their conductor at the North end of the bridge. On the head end are two cars for K&K recycling, and one empty fertilizer hopper from the Bluff Spur, with 15 empty coal cars from Eielson Air Force Base bringing up the rear. GP38-2’s 2008 and 2006 are powering this 18 car local back home to Fairbanks Yard.
