SD70MAC No. 4014 pulls out of the North Pole refinery heading up a seemingly endless stream of tank cars. The North Pole refinery is the state's largest and daily produces about 70,000 barrels of petroleum products such as gasoline, naphtha, jet fuel, heating oil, diesel fuel, gasoil and asphalt for local and international customers. Approximately 60% of production is for jet fuel for the airlines as well as the military.
