Moose on Susitna River and McKinley at MP-233: Just north of MP-232 the tracks come close to the Susitna River and on this day we were on the "Snowfleet" (typically two locomotives, a Jordan Spreader, a four person train crew and two Engineering employees) when a couple of moose bailed off of the tracks to the river to get out of our way. I'm sure once they were there however; they soon wished they were back up on the tracks where the running is much easier. And yes, that is Mt. McKinley in the background.
