Work train conductor Frank Armstrong running plow car spreading ballast. If you look at the photograph I sent last year spreading ballast you`ll see we were using a tie under the car. Myself and Ted Ashbridge designed the plow car for doing that job. Ted and a few of our carmen built the car and it was a big improvement over the tie. I would like to recognize two of the carmen who were most instrumental in the development of this improvement for the work train. They are Wayland Ferriera and John Darnielle. I thank them all because their efforts made my job much easier (6/17/98).
