Hyrail Vehicle #ARR 260 is a 1966 Chrysler Town and
Country Station Wagon Serial Number CL45G66176622 License # YYH464. This
was the General Managers track inspection car obtained at an original cost of
$6,238.00. After 180,000 miles it was retired to the Museum of Alaska
Transportation and Industry in 1985 by letter from James Blasingame, Director
of Administration ARRC. The Museum assession number is A85-19 and it was
last licensed in 1990 for the trip from Palmer to the new Wasilla Museum home.
Painted in gloss black the stately wagon was known as "The Black Maria" and
is stored operational at the Museum.
