Frank Keller says of his photo, “During last years gravel season the balloon track was removed at the Palmer load-out making it necessary for the crews to make a long back up move, so the RR re-instated one of the three remaining cabooses. This year, however, they decided to put into use this shoving platform.” The Connaboose name comes from its foundation (an intermodal container) and its function (a caboose). 4/11/15
