Spreader #5 was retired about 1974-76. It is an older style, narrow cramped, wet and drafty cab.  Crews liked them because they could wing faster and the pneumatic cylinders reacted much faster, but you had to know what you were doing. (2/3/83) Photo courtesy of Daniel Napoliello
