I was just up running my speeder on the Alasla Railroad last month [Sept. 2018] and I ran across this boxcar body at the end of the Denali Park Road in Kantishna. The Alaska Engineering Commission and the Territory of Alaska got a lot of federal surplus as WWI wound down. There was one of these in the Eklutna rock pit that they used as a blacksmith shop for sharpening rock drills. This one looks to be in great shape. |
