These photographs are from Ken Reuben's 1944-45 tour of duty in Alaska.  The tunnel portals are from the one at Whittier. The building shot is Portage Junction. It was taken on the main line looking toward Anchorage. The Whittier branch comes in on the right, behind the building. The track is visible joining the main in the distance.
