EMD MRS1 was built in 1952 (builder's number 15880) for the US Army as 1815. The US Navy later owned it and numbered it 65-00571. The Alaska Railroad acquired it in 1977 and gave it number 1715. It was scrapped in 1983. Photo taken in Anchorage, 07/29/79.
