The details of the steam generator exhaust jut between the sand hatches on the short hood and the extension pipes for the safety valves near the top cab windows are not often captured. The beacon, electronic bell and horn, weather curtains, ice breaker and number boards on the long hood complete the details. Just for clarification note the blue had faded to a baby blue at top and bottom and the yellow/gold was weathered. The lettering was black as was the deck, frame, steps and tanks. The yellow barrier stripes were added over the black. Note the fire extinguisher and the MU connector on the short deck and the rerail bracket hanging off the battery box next to the fuel tank. -- Commentary by Pat Durand.
