Here is an amazing photo of a Whittier passenger train of the 1950s. This shows the details of the ice breakers and the snow plow. Some of the 1000s (not including the RF1) had the ice breakers for use in the tunnels to Whittier and Seward. To my knowledge, only one 10xx had a snow plow. The snow plows in those days where silver/white. I don't have a location to give, other than it may be on the Anchorage side of the line. Looks like the track isn't too old, and the rail looks like it's 115 pound, so we can say this was taken not long after the ARR was re-built.
