703

Number 703 (builder number 60689) is a Baldwin 2-8-2 bought new on December 1928.  This locomotive was placed in the Anchorage Shops on March 12, 1929 for assembling and was put into freight service on March 29, 1929.  It weighed 240,000 pounds and had 22 x 28 inch cylinders with 54 inch drivers.  It was retired April 1954 and was sold to F.C. Langreo in Spain in January 1958.
