Here are a couple images of my favorite ARR locomotive, the 1802. She’d been kicked off the Whittier Shuttle and into yard service by the time these photos were taken in June 1986.
In the background an arriving midday southbound freight can be seen. This was during the era when ARR ran two freights daily between ANC-FBX.
