This photo of #1 was taken after #6 the only Davenport locomotive came to ARR as Narrow Gauge. With the arrival of larger Mountains and Pacifics they needed a short yard goat to move them on and off the turntable. They converted her to standard gauge and added the front coupler up on the old wood pilot beam. Later it became ceremonial #1 and is today on the monument in front of the Anchorage Depot.
