Here are three photos showing AEC #1 Standard Gauge locomotive just after arrival in Anchorage in 1915. This locomotive was small enough to be shipped as a deck load and arrived in operating condition. She was the first piece of motive power to arrive at Ship Creek and had not yet received her U.S. 1 number on the cab side. Notice the flat car is from the Alaska Northern evidently shipped around the Kenai Peninsula from Seward.
