On August 14, 2012 locomotive 557 was loaded onto an Alaska West Express trailer in preparation for her trip to Wasilla. An Alaska Railroad crew built a make shift rail ramp and used a track mobile to begin pushing her onboard. Unfortunately, the track mobile failed to have enough horsepower to get her up the ramp. Anticipating this, the railroad had a front loader standing by and the pair pushed her in place. Security was dispatched to guard the locomotive until her trip to Wasilla the next day.
