The roadmaster's Corner
Steve Love started his incredible career with the Alaska Railroad on July 28, 1958. Rising through the ranks of Maintenance of Way he became the Roadmaster for the 125-mile stretch between Gold Creek Station and Healy for the next 30 years. He finally retired in August 2008 with an unprecedented 50 years of service. It is an honor to be able to preserve a few pieces of history of this stalwart spirit of the Alaska Railroad.
