GP49 #2809

GP49 #2809 was sold to National Railway Equipment in 2008 and was leased to Frontier Rail in December 2009.

The locomotive has only been at Wallula for a month or so. This shortline took over operations from Watco recently. 

Former ARR 2809 (now CWW - Columbia & Walla Walla RR) was spotted in the UP yard at Wallula, Washington on the morning of 09/22/2019
Its profile is unmistakable, but it sure looked better in blue and gold. There are a couple other of these units floating around the Pacific Northwest.
