Review by Patrick Durand

As the jacket promises: No Moose, No History, No Pictures of Denali. Just the Trains That Make the Alaska Railroad What It Is.........  The Alaska Railroad entered the 21st Century and Andrew Tejral was there to capture the action on Digital Video in the summer of 2002.  The sights and sounds of the Alaska Railroad, gleaming passenger trains powered by new, SD70MACs from EMD.  The "Big Macs" are joined by the "Quarter Pounders" in the same new paint scheme, newly rebuilt  GP40-3HEP units in passenger service.    No annoying narration, but excellent on screen text messages announce date, time, train number and location of each segment.   Mixed freight, tank trains,  unit gravel and coal trains are the bonus that provide a 70 minute slice of operations on "The Last Full-Service Railroad in the USA."
